Claude and Codex, under the notch.
Notchi turns your MacBook’s notch into a control tower for your agents: who’s working, who’s waiting for an answer, who’s done. Allow, answer, clear, without switching windows.
One-time purchase of €6.90, for macOS 14 or later
Move over the notch (or tap it): the list of sessions opens. Allow the command, answer the question, clear what’s done.
No more switching windows.
Four moves, all from the notch.
Who’s working, at a glance.
Compact, the island shows who’s at work, Claude’s star, Codex’s cloud, and how many sessions are waiting or done.
Allow without opening Claude.
A command to approve? Deny or Allow, from the alert or by hovering it in the list. Claude gets the answer and carries on.
Answer its questions.
When the AI hesitates, its options show up under the notch. One click and it’s back to work.
The summary, once it’s done.
What was done, in a few lines. Open the session in one click, or clear it.
Everything stays on your Mac.
Notchi receives your sessions through a small local server, reachable only from your Mac.
Your settings, untouched.
It only adds its own entries to Claude Code’s and Codex’s settings, and keeps a copy of the original file.
Claude stays in charge.
Claude Code still shows its own prompt, and the first answer wins. With Notchi closed, everything works as before.

Frequently asked questions
How does Notchi hook up?
On first launch, Notchi adds itself to Claude Code’s settings, and to Codex’s if it’s installed. It only adds its own entries and keeps a copy of the original file. In Codex, approve them once with the /hooks command.
What if Notchi is closed?
Claude Code and Codex carry on as usual: you answer in their window, like before.
Do my sessions leave my Mac?
No. Notchi receives them through a small local server, reachable only from your Mac.
My Mac has no notch. Does it work?
Yes: the island sits at the top of the screen, in the same place.
Which Mac do I need?
A Mac running macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
